Chances are you will hear one of these names, while out and about on the dog walk or in the local park.
It is also estimated that over half of dog names are inspired by popular culture with many turning to TV, books and movies. Films such as Twilight with Bella highlighting this phenomenon (although many would have chosen that name regardless of the book and film).
Other influences this year include the popular show, Game of Thrones with names like Snow and Arya gaining ground, while Harry, Dobby, Chewbacca are still popular names for fans of Harry Potter and Star Wars.
